Hurraw Vanilla Lip Balm, Vegan and Hand Poured

Hurraw! infuse raw, organic vanilla beans into this balm, making it a deliciously smooth treat for your lips.
Two different vanilla oils and the tiny vanilla bean seeds that stay behind create a delicate, heavenly vanilla scent.

Did you know the gorgeous orchid like vanilla flowers last only one day and must be pollinated within twelve hours in order to grow a bean?
The beans take ten months to mature and then must be stored for another six months to develop their precious flavour. A lot of work goes into that beautiful scent.

Super smooth and beautifully formulated to bring out the best in a lip balm. It took several years for Hurraw! to formulate their balm and it shows. Great for the handbag.

Hurraw! hand mix and individually pour each tube of balm. They truly care about the quality and integrity of the product. All ingredients are sourced directly from farmers ensuring the highest quality products, and making sure that the growers are compensated for their work. Hurraw! is the finest all natural, vegan, raw balm available; a great product to be used by everyone regardless of lifestyle or eating habits!

We love our planet

All our orders are transported and stored in compostable bags by The Better Packaging Company. Their comPOLY bags are made from corn starch (PLA) with a synthetic polymer (PBAT). They have received the Australian Standard, AS5810 for composability as well as the OK Compost Home / Vincotte and Seedling standards. This means they can be composted at home or in a commercial composting facility.

The Better Packaging Company claims that this combination of materials represents a 60% reduction in CO emissions compared to traditional plastics while being non-toxic and containing no Phthalate or Bisphenol A (BPA). For our customer facing packaging we use two options. The first is our carbon neutral mailer bag, also by The Better Packaging Company. Called their ØPACK, it is made from approximately 80% Calcium Carbonate sourced from quarry waste and approximately 20% non-toxic recycled resin (HDPE). Its production uses renewable energy, zero water, no acid or bleaches while creating zero pollution in a carbon neutral process. We encourage customers to reuse these bags, however at the end of their life they can be recycled with soft plastics. For our larger customer facing orders, we use custom made boxes made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified cardboard that are manufactured in New Zealand from a high percentage of recycled card. FSC guarantees that the materials are coming from trees grown in responsibly managed forests.

Social Responsibility

As a company we are committed to ensuring we operate in an environmentally responsible way. We are far from perfect, but WE REALLY CARE! We believe that every small bit helps, and we are actively taking steps to increase sustainability and reduce our footprint both behind the scenes in sourcing and manufacturing, as well as what our customers take home.

Our aim is to source beautiful, sustainable fabrics that are the premium quality our customers expect.

Every decision we make, we consider the impact on the environment. Some of our initiatives include reducing our plastic consumption by up to 70% by not individually bagging our garments coming from our factory. We are working on a biodegradable plastic for the bags we do use.
